Calyptrogyne adalah genus dalam keluarga palem (Arecaceae). Genus ini tersebar di Amerika Tengah, Kolombia, dan wilayah selatan Meksiko, dengan 11 dari 17 spesies yang diketahui merupakan endemik di Panama.[2][3][4][5] Calyptrogyne ghiesbreghtiana adalah spesies yang paling tersebar luas dan paling banyak dipelajari dalam genus ini.[6]
