Tetrachaete adalah sebuah genus tumbuhan dalam keluarga rumput.[1][2] Asal-usul nama genus tersebut berasal dari bahasa Yunani, dari kata tetra yang artinya "empat" dan chaite, yang artinya "bulu."[3] Hanya ada satu spesies yang diketahui, Tetrachaete elionuroides, yang berasal dari Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Yaman, dan Oman.[4][5][6][7]
