Afrotrichloris adalah genus tumbuhan Afrika Timur dalam suku rumput-rumputan.[1][2][3][4]
Spesies tipenya dinamai menurut Ferdinando Martini (1841-1928), yang menjabat sebagai Menteri Koloni dan kemudian Gubernur Eritrea dalam pemerintahan Kerajaan Italia.[2]
