Spathicarpa adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam famili Araceae, yang semuanya endemik di Amerika Selatan.[1] Spesies Spathicarpa dikenal karena fakta bahwa keseluruhan tongkol bunganya (spadix) menyatu dengan seludang bunga (spathe). Genus ini diyakini berkerabat dekat dengan Spathantheum. Tribus Spathicarpeae dinamai berdasarkan genus Spathicarpa.[3][4][5]
