Peter Henry Andrews Sneath FRS,[1] MD (17 November 1923 – 9 September 2011) adalah seorang mikrobiologis Inggris yang mendirikan bidang taksonomi numerik, bersama dengan Robert R. Sokal. Sneath dan Sokal menulis Principles of Numerical Taxonomy,[2] yang direvisi pada 1973 dengan judul Numerical Taxonomy.[3] Sneath menionjau keadaan taksonomi numerik pada 1995[4] dan menulis beberapa catatan autobiografi pada 2010.[5]
Sebuah edaran khusus dari jurnal Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, tentang sistematis mikrobial, didedikasikan untuk mengenang Peter Sneath.[6]
Standar singkatan penulis Sneath digunakan untuk mengindikasikan orang ini ketika mengutip sebuah nama botani.[7]
