LOL (juga ditulis lol) adalah akronim dalam bahasa Inggris, biasanya untuk "laughing out lokmmnnlud"[1][2][3][4](tertawa terbahak-bahak) atau, "lots of luck" ([semoga] banyak beruntung) atau "lots of love" (banyak cinta).[3] Istilah LOL berasal dari Usenet dan menjadi elemen umum bahasa gaul Internet. LOL juga digunakan dalam bentuk komunikasi melalui komputer, seperti instant messaging, dan bahkan sudah menyebar ke komunikasi antar seseorang. Istilah ini juga digunakan dalam bahasa-bahasa selain Bahasa Inggris.
