Sir John Frank Kermode, FBA (29 November 1919 – 17 Agustus 2010[1][2][3]) adalah seorang kritikus sastra asal Britania Raya yang terkenal karena karyanya pada tahun 1967 The Sense of an Ending: Studies in the Theory of Fiction dan karena ulasan dan penyuntingan bukunya yang ekstensif.
Dia adalah Profesor Sastra Inggris Modern Lord Northcliffe di Universitas Kolese London dan King Edward VII Professor of English Literature di Universitas Cambridge.
Kermode dikenal karena banyak karya kritisnya, dan juga sebagai editor seri pengenalan Fontana Modern Masters yang populer dikalangan pemikir modern. Dia adalah kontributor tetap di London Review of Books dan The New York Review of Books.
