Setanisme Teistik

Setanisme Teistik, atau disebut sebagai Setanisme agama, Setanisme spiritual, atau Setanisme tradisional,^[2] adalah istilah umum untuk kelompok-kelompok agama yang menganggap Setan sebagai dewa, makhluk gaib, atau kekuatan yang ada secara objektif yang layak disembah dan didoakan, di mana tiap individu dapat berkomunikasi, bertemu, dan menghamba kepada Setan. Jadi, kepercayaan ini benar-benar menyembah setan sebagai sebuah entitas, bukan hanya sebagai pola dasar, metafora, simbol, atau ide tentang setan seperti dalam Setanisme LaVeyan.^[2]^[3]^[4] Individu dan organisasi yang menjunjung tinggi sistem kepercayaan ini dan/atau mengidentifikasi sebagai pemuja setan teistik biasanya sangat jarang mengungkapkan dirinya, kadang-kadang berafiliasi, atau berkelompok secara independen membentuk komplotan rahasia yang sebagian besar terpinggirkan. Karakteristik lain yang menonjol dari Setanisme teistik adalah penggunaan berbagai jenis sihir.^[2]

Kebanyakan kelompok setanisme teistik sebenarnya muncul dalam model dan ideologi yang relatif baru, banyak di antaranya bersifat independen dari agama-agama Abrahamik.^[2]
