Scaphispatha adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam famili Araceae. Genus ini terdiri dari dua spesies, yaitu S. gracilis dan S. robusta.[1] Genus ini diyakini bersifat monotipe hingga tahun 2003 ketika spesies baru, S. robusta, ditemukan oleh Eduardo Gomes Gonçalves di wilayah utara Brasil. Tanaman ini telah dibudidayakan selama beberapa tahun, tetapi selalu dianggap sebagai Caladium sampai akhirnya berbunga.[2][3][4][5]
