Nicholas Patrick Stephen Wiseman^[3] (3 Agustus 1802 – 15 Februari 1865) adalah seorang Kardinal Gereja Katolik yang menjadi Uskupa Agung Westminster pertama setelah pendirian ulang hierarki Katolik di Inggris dan Wales pada 1850.^[4]

Lahir di Sevilla dari orangtua Irlandia, Wiseman dididik di sebuah sekolah di Waterford sebelum masuk St. Cuthbert's College di Ushaw. Dari sana, ia datang ke Kolese Inggris di Roma, dimana ia kemudian menjadi Rektor. Saat di Roma, ia ditugaskan untuk mengkotbahi umat Katolik Inggris disana. Sebagai Rektor, ia menjadi perwakilan para uskup Inggris. Saat berkunjung ke Inggris pada 1836, ia membantu pendirian Dublin Review. Pada 1840, ia diangkat menjadi presiden Oscott College.
