Martin Faranan McDonagh (/məkˈdɒnə/ simakⓘ mək-DON-ə; lahir 26 Maret 1970)[4] adalah seorang dramawan dan pembuat film kontroversial kelahiran Inggris keturunan Irlandia[a].[8] Dikenal karena humor gelap absurdnya yang seringkali menantang estetika teater modern, dia telah menerima berbagai penghargaan termasuk satu Academy Award, enam BAFTA, dua Golden Globe, dan tiga Laurence Olivier Awards selain nominasi untuk lima Tony Award.
Drama-dramanya, yang banyak di antaranya telah diproduksi di West End dan di Broadway, meliputi: The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Cripple of Inishmaan (keduanya tahun 1996), The Lonesome West (1997), The Lieutenant of Inishmore (2001), The Pillowman (2003), A Behanding in Spokane (2010), dan Hangmen (2015).
McDonagh memenangkan Academy Award untuk Film Pendek Aksi Langsung Terbaik atas Six Shooter (2004) dan telah menerima enam nominasi lainnya untuk karyanya di In Bruges (2008), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), dan The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). Dia menyutradarai film komedi hitam Seven Psychopaths (2012) dan menjadi produser eksekutif di film-film kakaknya John Michael The Second Death (2000) dan The Guard (2011).

As a child, it felt like we were half the year there and half the year in London. Obviously, my lay accent is very London, but London Irish is probably a good way to describe me. I don't have a British passport which is probably a good move these days. I've only had an Irish one, but I've also always been anti-nationalist and anti-patriotic and all those things, so the whole Irish English thing I find a bit boring these things.
