Latar Belakang

Pada awal prosesnya, album hampir diberi judul berdasarkan lagu "The Shock Of The Lightning". Noel Gallagher pernah mengungkapkan pada 2008 bahwa beberapa judul sempat dipertimbangkan, mulai dari ''Bag It Up'', lalu berubah menjadi ''The Shock Of The Lightning'', dan sempat pula ''Standing On The Edge Of The Noise''. Namun pada akhirnya, mereka memilih judul ''Dig Out Your Soul'' yang dianggap paling mewakili konsep dan suasana album tersebut.^[2]

Rekaman
