Penamaan
Konghucu dipakai sebagai kata yang mengacu pada tokoh Konfusius atau Kongfuzi (孔夫子) atau secara harafiah berarti Guru Kong, di mana itu merupakan Hokkien dialek Xiamen yang dibaca: Khóng hu tsú. Dikarenakan untuk agama Konghucu sudah dinamakan Konfusianisme, maka Konghucu saya gunakan sebagai artikel utama ketimbang Konghucu (filsuf), karena memang tidak ada Konghucu dengan arti lainnya selain agamanya.
